Registration Instruction
Welcome to the Data Protection Authority Registration Portal – Somalia

Thank you for visiting the Office of the Data Protection Authority Registration Portal of Somalia. Before you begin registration, ensure you have read and understood the pre-registration information provided below.

Before Beginning Your Registration, Ensure You Have the Following:
  • Active Email Address: Ensure the spelling is correct. Note that only one email address can be used for one entity application (for both Data Controller and Data Processor configurations). If applying for multiple entities or subsidiaries, use a unique email address for each.
  • Guidance Framework: Read the official Guidance Note on Registration of Data Controllers and Data Processors to understand your compliance brackets.
  • Incorporation Documents: Have the establishment or incorporation records of the applicant entity ready in PDF format.
  • Certified Audited Financials: Financial statements of the applicant for the previous accounting period in PDF format. Newly established entities may submit a signed revenue statement or valid tax return documentation.
  • Internal Safeguards: Consult internal departments to map out structural technical and organizational safeguards implemented to protect personal data.
During Registration, Please Note:

Inadequate Safeguards: Providing incomplete metrics or poor organizational protections may lead directly to formal refusal of the application under the applicable Data Protection Regulations of Somalia.

Turnover Brackets: Selection of wrong employee and turnover structures will lead to billing tier friction or total application suspension.

Invoicing: To avoid accidental duplicate transaction records, generate only one invoice by hitting the "Click Here to Pay" selection once.
